You will report to the Manager of Fuel Equipment Design and be responsible for performing Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling and analysis to support contract execution and product development efforts. Your analysis will focus on low NOx burners, overfire air and furnace systems, as well as SCR and SO2 scrubber systems. Collaboration with project teams in Marlborough, MA office will be essential for developing proposals, interfacing with clients, and executing contract and project analysis and reporting. Additionally, you will support sales, proposals, and marketing activities to enhance the sales of CFD modeling capability. A solid foundation in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, chemical reactions, and combustion is essential. Proficiency in CFD modeling, including reacting flow models, and a good understanding of ANSYS CFD software are required. Being self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision is crucial. As a Process Development Chemist, you will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments to create new chemical processes and enhance existing ones. You will scale up laboratory procedures to pilot and production levels, ensuring scalability and reproducibility.
