The job involves preparing test solutions, compounds, and reagents for conducting tests, advising on test procedures, and determining the chemical and physical properties of organic and inorganic compounds. Using chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry techniques will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be developing, improving, and customizing products, equipment, formulas, processes, and analytical methods. Collaboration with scientists and engineers to analyze, interpret, and develop tests is essential. You will introduce heat, light, energy, and chemical catalysts to chemical substances to induce reactions, write technical papers and reports, and prepare standards and specifications for processes, tests, and products. Maintenance of laboratory instruments, troubleshooting malfunctions, and purchasing new laboratory supplies are also part of the job. Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards is crucial.
