Job Summary:

Chef de Partie – Bakery


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the bakery section operations during production and service.
  • Prepare, bake, and finish bakery items such as breads, viennoiseries, rolls, doughs, and other specialty products according to recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all mise en place is completed and maintained for daily production.
  • Maintain consistent quality, taste, texture, and presentation of all bakery products.
  • Monitor baking processes, temperatures, and timings to achieve desired results.
  • Train, guide, and motivate Commis and Demi Chefs in the bakery section.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef on new recipes, seasonal menus, and special event items.
  • Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures (HACCP compliance).
  • Control inventory, monitor ingredient usage, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure equipment and workstations are clean, properly maintained, and in good working order.
  • Communicate effectively with other sections and kitchen leadership to ensure smooth operations.
