The company is rapidly scaling its efforts to become a fully integrated, global leader in Aluminium production, offering a wide range of high-quality Aluminium products. Vedanta’s Coal mines will play a crucial role in this endeavor, strategically poised to be the largest value creators for the Aluminium business.

CEO - Coal Mines (Aluminium).

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the 100 MTPA Coal Mines Business for Vedanta Aluminium by providing technical and operational strategies
• Geological exploration, optimization of mining reserve, deploying global practices for commencement of green field coal blocks to ensure lowest cost of coal for our thermal power plants
• Land acquisition including all statutory approvals such as forest and environmental clearances
• Stakeholder management including R&R and community engagement
• Strategizing the conceptual design for coal supply to refineries and thermal power plants
• Onboarding International MDO for ensuring the coal mines operations of global standard
• Ensuring Compliance with all statutory requirements to mitigate potential risks
• Introduce automation or digital tools in driving mining projects
• Implement safety programs, ensure compliance with environmental norms and drive zero-incident culture
• Lead and mentor potential teams for a performance driven culture

Desired Skills:

• Education Qualification - B.E. /B.Tech./ MBA with strong systems & process orientation
• 20 - 25 years of relevant industry experience
• Expertise in operating and managing Greenfield and Brownfield Mining projects
