Location: Jaipur, Delhi, Gurugram
Department: Bakery / Kitchen
Reports To: Pastry Chef / Executive Chef
Salary: Based on Experience and Role
Working: Fine dine Restaurants

Overview

We are seeking passionate and skilled professionals for the Bakery Department in the roles of Sous Chef and CDP. The ideal candidates will be experts in baked goods, have a deep understanding of baking techniques, and possess the ability to maintain consistency, creativity, and high standards in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:- Common Duties for Both Roles:

  • Prepare and present a variety of baked items inclueding breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, and desserts.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per FSSAI/HACCP standards.
  • Monitor ingredient stock, assist in inventory control, and ensure minimal wastage.
  • Follow all kitchen SOPs, safety guidelines, and operational protocols.
  • Work closely with the pastry team to develop new and seasonal items.

Additional Responsibilities – Sous Chef – Bakery

  • Lead and manage the entire bakery section, supervising CDPs, Commis, and trainees.
  • Plan production schedules and ensure timely execution.
  • Innovate and introduce new recipes and creative baked products.
  • Handle team training, delegation, and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef and Purchase / Store department for stock planning.
  • Maintain quality control, cost management, and equipment upkeep.

Additional Responsibilities – CDP – Bakery

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned bakery station.
  • Assist in supervising junior staff and ensuring proper task delegation.
  • Ensure recipes and instructions are followed precisely.
  • Support the Sous Chef in production and training activities.

Candidate Requirements

Criteria Sous Chef:- Bakery
Experience:-5–8 years (2+ years in supervisory role
Education:- Degree/Diploma in Bakery & Confectionery
Skills:- Strong leadership, recipe development, cost control
Expertise:- Artisan breads, viennoiserie, laminated doughs, desserts etc.

Criteria CDP:– Bakery
Experience:- 2-4 years
Education:- Diploma/Certification in Bakery
Skills:- Hands-on baking, attention to detail
Expertise:- Bread making, pastries, cake decoration

Soft Skills

  • Passion for baking and culinary innovation
  • Strong communication and team collaboration
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Time management and organizational skills

Working Conditions

  • Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays
  • Standing for extended periods in a hot kitchen environment
