Job Description

Job Overview: As a CCTV technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV systems. You will ensure that the CCTV systems operate effectively and efficiently to provide maximum security coverage. Key Responsibilities: Installation of CCTV Systems: Mounting cameras and positioning them effectively to cover required areas. Running cables and connecting cameras, monitors, and recording equipment. Testing and configuring equipment to ensure proper functionality. Maintenance and Repair: Conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure CCTV systems are operating correctly. Identifying and repairing faults in the system promptly. Replacing defective components as necessary. System Upgrades: Upgrading CCTV systems to improve functionality or meet new requirements. Installing firmware updates and software patches to maintain system security and performance. Monitoring Performance: Monitoring the performance of CCTV systems to ensure they meet security requirements. Adjusting camera angles, lighting, or settings to improve visibility as needed. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Providing detailed reports on system status, issues, and resolutions. Customer Support: Providing technical support and guidance to customers or end-users. Responding to service calls and resolving issues promptly. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a CCTV technician or similar role. Technical knowledge of CCTV systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with CCTV equipment, such as cameras, monitors, DVRs/NVRs, and cables. Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required. Relevant certifications or training in CCTV installation and maintenance may be advantageous.
