CCTV Field Engineer

As a CCTV Systems Technician, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, configuring, and installing analog and digital CCTV systems, Fire Alarm, and Access Control systems. Your role will involve maintaining and upgrading existing systems as required, as well as establishing working relationships with vendors and contractors in the CCTV systems domain. Troubleshooting cameras, DVRs, NVRs, computers, peripherals, and other hardware components will also be part of your day-to-day tasks. Providing technical support to end users for both software and hardware issues is a crucial aspect of this role. Ideally, you should possess basic knowledge of networks and/or network switching, with a solid understanding of CCTV systems. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential. Hands-on experience in the installation of IP Cameras, DVRs, NVRs, MDVRs, Wi-Fi Cameras, and connecting CCTV cameras to networks is required. You should be adept at handling customer queries effectively and providing on-site training when necessary. Your responsibilities will include commissioning, system integration, and testing of CCTV systems, as well as troubleshooting IP Cameras. Servicing clients and upgrading camera and security systems based on client requirements will be part of your job scope. Attending to CCTV maintenance calls, resolving complaints within SLA, and updating client and internal databases post-resolution are key tasks. Analyzing complaints and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence will be critical for ensuring customer satisfaction.
