Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    The CBM Incharge oversees the condition-based monitoring (CBM) program for critical equipment across the plant and mines, utilizing advanced techniques like vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis. This role involves analyzing data to identify potential issues, coordinating corrective actions with maintenance teams, promoting continuous improvement, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Condition-Based Monitoring Implementation: Oversee the condition-based monitoring (CBM) program for all critical equipment, including drives, motors, and plant machinery across the entire plant and mines (crusher). Ensure regular monitoring of equipment using advanced techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data collected from CBM activities to identify trends, potential failures, and areas for improvement and provide actionable insights for maintenance planning and decision-making. Prepare and present regular reports on equipment condition, including detailed analysis of oil/vibration/temperature/spectrum data, to stakeholders for necessary corrective actions. Internal Control & Transparency: Implement and monitor internal control systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and transparency in daily operations Regularly assess and identify potential risks within the organization, recommending and implementing control measures to enhance transparency Equipment Health Management: Monitor the health of critical plant equipment by utilizing non-destructive testing methods such as UT, MPT, and thermography to inspect and assess the condition of equipment, ensuring that any signs of malfunction are addressed promptly. Oversee dynamic balancing of fans and motors, and conduct wear measurements to prevent unexpected breakdowns. Maintenance Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with the Preventive Maintenance Mechanical Planner to integrate CBM data into maintenance schedules, ensuring that maintenance activities are aligned with equipment condition and operational needs. Coordinate with maintenance teams to plan and execute corrective actions based on CBM data and analysis. Continuous Improvement & Technology Integration: Promote continuous improvement in the CBM program by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and implementing best practices in monitoring and data analysis. Stay updated with the latest advancements in condition-based monitoring technologies and techniques, incorporating relevant innovations into the CBM program. Organize training sessions to enhance the team’s skills in condition monitoring and data analysis. Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all CBM activities are conducted in compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements, promoting a safe working environment. Adhere to safety protocols during equipment inspections and data collection, ensuring that all safety measures are followed. Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all CBM activities, including data collected, analysis performed, and actions taken. Ensure that all documentation is accessible and organized, facilitating easy retrieval and review for audits and performance evaluations. Qualifications and Experience


    Education Qualification: BE in Mechanical Engineering. Work Experience: 10+ years of experience in condition-based monitoring and maintenance within an industrial setting, with a proven track record in managing CBM programs for critical equipment. Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of condition-based monitoring technologies and techniques, with demonstrated expertise in data analysis and maintenance planning.
