Role Overview: As a Category Buyer for Indirect Purchase at Varroc Engineering Limited in Pune, your main responsibility will be to comply with the procurement policies of the organization and handle high-value complex sourcing projects, including overseas transactions. You will be involved in tracking PRs, RFQ preparation, market analysis, supplier assessment, category management, and preparing monthly MIS reports to ensure cost savings targets are met. Key Responsibilities: - Track PRs, discuss technical clarifications with users, prepare RFQs, identify potential bidders, float RFQs, follow up, and obtain quotations - Prepare commercial comparisons, obtain approvals as per DOA matrix, and award POs and contracts - Conduct market analysis and supplier assessment for MRO, consumables, IT Opex & capex - Analyze spend, identify key saving projects, participate in CFT Supplier selection, conduct commercial negotiations, facilitate product trials, and ensure optimum project results - Manage categories in high spend commodities, catalogue management of tail spend items, standardization, and supplier rationalization - Prepare Monthly MIS reports including saving reports, PR-PO conversion TAT, DPO, purchase performance, saving projects tracker, and improvements for management reviews - Drive procurement strategies to achieve cost savings targets - Ensure right sourcing based on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale considerations - Handle high-value complex sourcing projects, including overseas transactions Qualification Required: - B.E. in Mechanical/Production/IT with 5 to 7 years of experience - Exposure to MRO, Consumables & IT Opex & capex procurement - Knowledge of price trends and supplier base, commercial terms & import transactions - Hands-on experience with SAP ERP, MS Office, E-bidding tools, E-RFQ - Good analytical skills and experience with Zero Based Cost Analysis Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the job description.
