Category Buyer (Indirect Purchase)

Role Overview: As a Category Buyer for Indirect Purchase at Varroc Engineering Limited, your primary responsibility will be to comply with the procurement policies set by the organization. Your role will involve tracking PRs, engaging in discussions with users for technical clarifications, preparing RFQs, identifying potential bidders, floating RFQs, and following up to obtain quotations. You will also be responsible for preparing commercial comparisons, obtaining approvals as per DOA matrix, and awarding POs and contracts. Additionally, you will conduct market analysis and supplier assessments for MRO, consumables, IT Opex, and capex. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market analysis and supplier assessment for MRO, consumables, IT Opex, and capex - Prepare commercial comparisons, obtain approvals, and award POs and contracts - Identify key saving projects and be part of CFT Supplier selection and commercial negotiations - Manage category management in high-spend commodities and catalogue management of tail spend items - Prepare Monthly MIS reports and present them to management for review and feedback - Drive procurement strategies to achieve cost savings targets - Ensure right sourcing is done with respect to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale - Handle high-value complex sourcing projects, including overseas Qualifications Required: - B.E in Mechanical/ Production/ IT with 5 to 7 years of experience - Exposure to MRO, consumables, IT Opex, and capex procurement - Knowledge of price trends, supplier base, commercial terms, and import transactions - Hands-on experience with SAP ERP, MS Office, E-bidding tools, and E-RFQ - Good analytical skills and experience in Zero Based Cost Analysis Additional Details: N/A,
