Cash Officer

As a Cash Officer at our retail store in Vadodara, you will be responsible for efficiently managing all cash-related activities. Your role will involve handling cash transactions, balancing tills, preparing daily reports, and ensuring strict adherence to cash handling policies to maintain financial accuracy and security. **Key Responsibilities:** - Reconcile cash with sales reports at the end of shifts/day - Monitor and manage petty cash in accordance with store policy - Ensure accurate deposits are made to the bank as required - Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to management/finance department - Maintain detailed records of all cash transactions and promptly report any irregularities or shortages - Follow and enforce all company policies regarding cash handling - Ensure the security of cash room and cash transit procedures - Provide support to store operations by assisting in customer transactions during peak hours or staff shortages - Optionally train new cashiers on cash management procedures **Qualifications & Skills:** - High school diploma or equivalent; diploma/degree in accounting or finance is a plus - Previous experience in cash handling, cashiering, or retail finance preferred - Strong numerical and analytical skills - Proficiency in using POS systems and MS Excel - High level of integrity and confidentiality - Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision The role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume retail environment, where good communication and problem-solving skills are valued.
