Career & College Placement Counsellor- Guwahati, Assam

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Career & College Placement Counsellor to guide and support students in exploring academic and career opportunities both in India and abroad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in college counselling, global admissions processes, and student mentorship, with at least 5 years of experience in reputed international schools. Key Responsibilities: College & Career Guidance: * Counsel students on course selections, university options, and career pathways aligned with their interests and academic profiles. * Provide individual and group guidance to students on global higher education opportunities (USA, UK, Canada, Europe, India, etc.). * Support students in understanding application requirements, timelines, and documentation for international and domestic university admissions. Test Preparation Support: * Guide students on preparation for standardized exams such as SAT, ACT, IELTS, CUET, CLAT, and others relevant to their target destinations. Application Management : * Assist students with college applications, personal statements, recommendation letters, and interview preparation. * Maintain updated records of students college applications, outcomes, and related documentation. Events & Engagements: * Organize and facilitate university fairs, alumni panels, career talks, and internship/mentorship programs. * Coordinate with universities, external counselors, and education consultants for student opportunities and collaborations. Technology Integration: * Utilize college counselling platforms such as Cialfo, Unifrog, or similar for application tracking, college matching, and communication (preferred but not mandatory). Parent & Faculty Communication: * Engage with parents and faculty members to provide updates and align support systems for student success. * Conduct workshops and seminars for students and parents on college planning and application strategies. Qualifications & Skills: * Minimum 3 years of experience as a Career or College Placement Counsellor in reputed international schools. * In-depth knowledge of global university admissions and career development processes. * Strong understanding of academic pathways, entrance tests, and career mapping. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills. * Proficiency in student counselling, planning, and presentation. * Familiarity with college application platforms (Cialfo, Unifrog, etc.) is a plus. * Passion for working with students and supporting their personal and academic growth.
