Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with cardiac conditions such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, heart failure, etc.
  • Conduct physical exams, interpret diagnostic tests (ECG, ECHO, TMT, Holter, etc.).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatments as needed.
  • Provide cardiac consultations to other departments (ICU, emergency, surgery, etc.).
  • Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies (e.g., cardiac arrest, chest pain).
  • Participate in daily ward rounds and review inpatient cardiac cases.
  • Supervise and interpret non-invasive tests like echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitoring.
  • Assist or perform procedures such as:
  • Cardiac catheterization (if applicable)
  • Pacemaker evaluation
  • Pericardiocentesis (in emergency settings)
  • Work closely with intensivists, emergency physicians, surgeons, and other specialists.
  • Refer patients for interventional procedures (e.g., angioplasty, bypass) when required.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely completion of discharge summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety, and medical ethics.
  • Educate patients and families about heart conditions, lifestyle changes, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Provide post-procedure and rehabilitation advice.
  • Participate in morbidity and mortality (M&M) meetings, quality audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery) – Mandatory
  • MD (General Medicine) – 3 years (Postgraduate degree)
  • DM (Cardiology) or DNB (Cardiology) – 3 years (Super-specialization)

Must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Strong decision-making during emergencies
  • Familiarity with advanced cardiac imaging and monitoring equipment
  • Empathy, communication, and team collaboration
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/HMS)

Experience

  • 2 years above (Consultant/Senior Cardiologist)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
