A tertiary-care clinical provider in the cardiac care sector delivering advanced interventional cardiology, acute coronary syndrome management, and structural heart procedures to regional populations in Andhra Pradesh. We operate a modern on-site catheterisation laboratory and multidisciplinary cardiac service focused on high-quality, evidence-based patient care and timely emergency interventions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level clinical care for cardiac patients: evaluate, diagnose and manage acute and chronic coronary and structural heart disease on-site at the Amalapuram facility.
- Perform and lead invasive procedures including diagnostic coronary angiography, primary and elective PCI, and complex interventions in the cath lab with emphasis on safety and procedural excellence.
- Lead emergency response for acute coronary syndromes—ensure rapid STEMI triage and deliver primary PCI with appropriate periprocedural management.
- Oversee cath lab operations: case planning, equipment selection, radiation safety, infection control and optimisation of procedural workflows.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (cardiac surgery, ICU, anaesthesia, imaging) to design individualized treatment plans and coordinate post-procedure care and follow-up.
- Mentor and train junior cardiology staff and nursing teams; maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement, audit and protocol development.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- DM or DrNB in Cardiology (or equivalent super-specialty qualification).
- Current registration with the relevant State Medical Council / National Medical registry.
- Proven hands-on interventional experience in a cath lab environment with independent performance of diagnostic angiography and PCI.
- Demonstrated competency in emergency primary PCI and management of acute coronary syndromes.
- Strong procedural judgement with experience in complication management and periprocedural care.
- Willingness to work on-site in Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh, and participate in on-call rotas.
Preferred
- Fellowship or training in complex coronary or structural interventions (TAVR, MitraClip or equivalent).
- Experience with intracoronary imaging and physiology (IVUS, OCT, FFR/iFR) and CTO interventions.
- Track record of academic contribution, protocol development or participation in clinical audits/research.
