Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

: Healthcare — Multispeciality Hospital (Inpatient & Outpatient care, Emergency Medicine, Surgical and Medical wards) located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Fast-paced clinical environment providing comprehensive tertiary support across specialties with a focus on high-quality patient care. On-site role with fixed 8-hour duty shifts.Role & Responsibilities
- Provide timely clinical assessment, stabilization and initial management of patients presenting to wards and the emergency department during the assigned 8-hour shift.
- Admit, monitor and discharge patients per hospital protocols; coordinate investigations, prescriptions and referrals to specialist teams.
- Perform essential bedside procedures including IV cannulation, wound suturing and basic airway management when required.
- Lead acute resuscitation efforts as first responder; escalate to senior clinicians and document resuscitation events accurately.
- Maintain accurate, legible medical records and manage handovers—ensure continuity of care across shifts and specialist teams.
- Participate in quality-improvement activities, infection control measures and adherence to hospital clinical governance standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS degree with valid registration from the National/State Medical Council (NMC)
- Current license to practise medicine in India
- Prior experience in hospital inpatient care or as RMO/Medical Officer (preferred 1–3 years)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent
- Competence in emergency procedures: IV cannulation, wound suturing, basic airway management and ECG interpretation
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with hospital protocols or Electronic Medical Records (EMR/HIS)
Preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent paediatric emergency training
- Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) skills for focused bedside assessment
- Experience working in multispeciality tertiary hospitals and familiarity with clinical governance / quality programs
