Card Processing Manager

Responsible for overall delivery of card processing unit ensuring seamless service delivery, maximum stakeholder satisfaction and effective people management. This role requires ensuring timely collections and payments for card transactions, resolving issues, ensuring compliance, and leading process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery for the card processing unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of services for the Card Processing unit as per defined SLAs and KPls.
  • Manage the card processing unit to ensure achievement of the agreed outcomes, targets and objectives.
  • Identify, lead and support the implementation of the process improvement opportunities, focusing on efficiency and timely service delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT for transformation of processes, improving controls, reducing manual interventions and overall exceptions.
  • Align roadmap, performance improvement targets and roadblocks with Manager Card Processing unit against the overall business strategy.
  • Work along various internal and external stakeholders on continuous process improvement projects and initiatives for the unit with key focus on efficiencies, sound internal controls, risk management among others with sole purpose of securing the group interests.
  • Review team performance regularly, generating detailed reports and maintaining accurate statistics for effective decision-making.
  • Manage, escalate and lead dispute resolution for identified issues to ensure corrective actions are taken, guiding the team leads and unit members on exception handling and issue resolution.
  • Ensure all internal controls and compliance are being followed related to the card processing unit to ensuring process efficiency and 100% compliance to company policies and procedures.
  • Be a subject matter expert for all compliance requirements both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and review the monthly closing of financial records to ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts assigned to the team.
  • Monitor SL/KPI for the unit and keep close track for non-compliances with SLA/KPI and take initiatives for closing the gap in performance.
  • Convene governance meetings with the internal and external stakeholders as per governance schedule.
  • Maintain and update the SOPs, diagrams, policies, etc. of all relevant processes.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
