Captain

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Captain to lead and coordinate the dining service in our restaurant. The Captain will be responsible for managing the front-of-house team, ensuring excellent guest service, supervising table settings and cleanliness, and maintaining high service standards throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities / Job Roles:

• Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, ensure they are comfortably seated, take orders, and ensure their overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Team Supervision: Lead and manage the service team (waiters, runners), assign duties, and ensure efficient service flow.
• Order Coordination: Communicate orders to the kitchen and bar accurately and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables.
• Service Standards: Ensure staff follow proper service procedures, including table setup, serving etiquette, and hygiene protocols.
• Complaint Handling: Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally; escalate issues to the manager when needed.
• Upselling: Suggest menu items and promotions to increase revenue while enhancing the guest experience.
• Billing & Payments: Ensure accurate billing and assist with closing tables and processing payments when required.
• Training & Guidance: Help train new staff and guide team members to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Reporting: Keep the restaurant manager informed about daily operations, guest feedback, and staff performance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Good communication in English (and additional languages is a plus)
• Knowledge of food & beverage service procedures
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
