Capacity Manager

As an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing IT infrastructure hardware and software assets by designing and implementing the right CMDB structure. You will leverage available technology for asset discovery and integration within the CMDB system. - Overseeing IT infrastructure capacity, including compute, memory, storage, and backup. You will work closely with the Cloud architect to allocate resources effectively for different workloads and applications. - Addressing IT infrastructure demand by engaging with internal customers and the enterprise team to understand their requirements and provide suitable solutions. - Tracking workload migration to balance the clusters in Vcenter and ensure optimal performance. - Managing the commission and decommission tracker by collaborating with partners and customers to streamline the process. To qualify for this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience: - Educational Qualification: BE/Btech/MCA in Computer Science or Electronics. - Certification: ITIL, Cloud Certification. - Work Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on assets management and capacity management. You should have a good understanding of infrastructure across domains. - Technical Skills: Strong experience in managing hardware and software assets, capacity management, and working in process-mature production environments. Proficiency in vendor/partner management and customer handling. - Additional Technical Skills (Nice to have): ITIL and Cloud management expertise. - Behavioral Skills: Customer-focused approach, sharing knowledge and best practices, result-oriented mindset, and adherence to Airtel Africa values and ethics. - People Management Skills: Ability to work effectively as a team player, excellent communication skills, and preference for global experience.
