Callidus Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze incentive plan requirements and translate them into Callidus configuration and rule logic
• Design and configure compensation plans, credit rules, rate tables, quotas, and payment structures for producers/agents
• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, and business teams to align product-specific commission logic with regulatory guidelines
• Customize Callidus modules, including Commissions, Producer Management, Workflow, and Reporting
• Develop and maintain integrations between Callidus and policy admin systems (e.g., ALIP), CRMs, billing platforms, and data warehouses
• Work with middleware platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, SAP PI/PO) for real-time or batch data exchanges
• Transform and validate inbound/outbound data using ETL tools, XML/CSV transformations, or SAP Data Integrator
• Design and execute unit, functional, regression, and UAT test cases for commission workflows and calculations
• Participate in Callidus deployments, environment configurations, post-implementation validation, and troubleshooting
• Monitor batch jobs, payout cycles, and incentive processing logs, resolving exceptions and ensuring audit compliance

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 12 years of total IT experience with at least 3+ years of direct hands-on experience in CallidusCloud or SAP Commissions
• Experience in at least one of: Plan Configuration, Functional Analysis, Integration, Testing, or Operations Support
• Strong understanding of commission, payout, and incentive structures within the Life Insurance & Annuities industry
• Proficient in Callidus modules like Commissions, Workflow, Producer Management, and Reporting
• Familiarity with rule-based plan modeling, rate/credit configuration, and producer hierarchy mapping
• Experience working with APIs, SFTP transfers, or middleware for real-time and batch integration
• Exposure to compensation validation, audit reconciliation, and SOX-compliant environments
• Understanding of Agile or Waterfall SDLC methodologies
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Postman, HP ALM, and basic SQL for data validation
• Experience collaborating with onsiteoffshore delivery models
