Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact debtors via phone, email, mail to collect payments on past-due accounts
  • Negotiate repayment plans and payment terms within company guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications and payment arrangements
  • Follow up on payment commitments and ensure timely receipt of funds
  • Handle disputes and complaints with patience and professionalism
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant regulations
  • Meet or exceed individual and team collection targets

Skills for Customer Service Rep:

  • Proven customer support experience or experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Patience and a positive attitude
