Calibration Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Calibration Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for performing calibration, verification, and validation of instruments, preparing calibration certificates/reports, and ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration of instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, torque wrenches, and surface plates.
• Carry out on-site and in-house calibration activities as per NABL/ISO procedures.
• Maintain calibration records, reports, and certificates with complete traceability.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 quality management system.
• Handle and maintain calibration equipment and standards with proper care.
• Coordinate with clients regarding instrument receipt, status, and delivery.
• Assist in internal audits, inter-laboratory comparisons, and proficiency testing.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and adherence to laboratory protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Instrumentation / Metrology (or equivalent).
• 0–3 years of experience in calibration (freshers with relevant background may also apply).
• Knowledge of calibration methods, measurement uncertainty, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
• Good understanding of dimensional, mechanical, or pressure measuring instruments.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word, data entry).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel for on-site calibration assignments.
