CAD Technician - Structures

As a CAD Draftsman at WSP, your role will involve collaborating with the CRC-coordinator to agree on priorities and deadlines for drawing production. You will be responsible for developing drawings from input provided by the UK/GCC and turning them into coordinated building details. Additionally, you will complete design sketches for small/routine work and ensure that the work produced adheres to specified WSP in UK CAD standards. Your role will also include providing guidance and coaching to technicians on intermediate CAD functions when required and following QA, document control, and archiving guidelines on all work. Furthermore, you will work with project team members on specified aspects of the project. Key Responsibilities: - Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production with CRC-coordinator - Input to the co-ordination of engineering services on projects - Develop drawings from given input from UK/GCC and turn them into coordinated building details - Complete design sketches for information in design documents for small/routine work - Produce work to specified WSP in UK CAD standards and suggest revisions to standards as appropriate - Use templates for CAD work and utilize CAD library items to assist design work - Provide advice and coaching to technicians on intermediate CAD functions when requested - Follow QA, document control, and archiving guidelines on all work - Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project Qualifications Required: - Diploma in Civil Engineering/BTech with 2-4 years of experience in CAD Drafting - Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting/detailing in the AEC industry - Experience working on projects across different sectors and of varying sizes - Good working knowledge of CAD software with the ability to coach junior staff - Clear understanding of industry standards About WSP: WSP is a leading professional services consulting firm with a global presence, including offices in Noida, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.
