CAD Layout Engineer

Position Summary

We are looking for a CAD Engineer to support the development of factory layouts and process equipment integration for our cell manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will assist senior engineers in producing accurate 2D and 3D layouts of production lines, equipment, and building utilities. You will gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment and processes are smoothly integrated into the facility, enabling efficient and safe manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in creating and updating 2D and 3D layouts of production equipment, utilities, and factory spaces.

Support senior engineers in coordinating layouts with process, facilities, and construction teams.

Import, update, and organize supplier-provided CAD models into overall factory layouts.

Prepare drawings and documentation for equipment installation, utilities routing, and construction planning.

Help identify potential clash issues between equipment and building systems.

Maintain and manage CAD files, templates, and standards to ensure consistency.

Support design reviews and layout updates based on feedback from engineering and operations teams.

Learn and apply industry standards related to safety, ergonomics, and efficient factory design.

Qualifications Required:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Should have minimum 5 years of experience.

Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar).

Understanding of technical drawings and design principles.

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

Internship or academic project experience in factory layouts, equipment design, or process industries.

Familiarity with BIM tools or digital factory design platforms (e.g., Navisworks, Plant 3D).

Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, utilities, or facility coordination.
