Org: AXA GBS

Location: Bangalore (Manyata Tech Park, Nagawara) AND Pune (GERA Commerzone, Kharadi)

Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days Office, 3 days WFH)

Job Summary

CA Gen Mainframe SME

Key Responsibilities

Provide SME-level guidance on CA Gen-based application development and maintenance.
Analyze existing systems and contribute to modernization initiatives or platform upgrades.
Design and develop scalable solutions using CA Gen in mainframe environments (z/OS).
Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver efficient technical solutions.
Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization.
Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation for business continuity.
Train and mentor junior developers in CA Gen methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience in CA Gen (COOL:Gen) and mainframe technologies.
Strong skills in COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS, TSO/ISPF.
In-depth understanding of CA Gen model structures, generation options, and runtimes.
Proficiency with batch and online CA Gen applications.
Solid experience in production support and enhancement projects.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience in CA Gen application modernization to Java or .NET environments.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD tools, or cloud integration in legacy modernization.
Exposure to tools like Xpeditor, Abend-AID, and File-AID.
Industry experience in sectors like BFSI, healthcare, or manufacturing.
