Buyer (Brought Out Parts ,Packaging Materials, Small Rubber & Plastic)

Role Objective:

Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring Brought Out Parts (BOP), packaging materials, small plastics, and chemicals required for battery manufacturing, ensuring cost competitiveness, timely delivery, and supplier quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement & Sourcing

• Identify and develop reliable suppliers for BOP, packaging materials, small plastic parts, and process chemicals.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate offers, and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
• Manage supplier performance with respect to quality, delivery, and service.

• Vendor Management

• Develop new vendors to reduce dependency and improve competitiveness.
• Conduct supplier audits in coordination with Quality and Technical teams.
• Maintain vendor database, rate contracts, and approved vendor lists.

• Commercial & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and documentation.
• Track market trends for key materials (plastics, chemicals, packaging) to forecast cost impacts.
• Support cost analysis and value engineering initiatives.

• Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with R&D and Engineering for new component development and material trials.
• Collaborate with Quality for supplier qualification and issue resolution.
• Support finance for payment processing, reconciliation, and vendor settlements.

• Brought Out Parts:

  Sheet metal items, rubber gaskets, connectors, terminals, cables, small fabricated parts.

• Packaging Materials:

  Corrugated boxes, PP straps, tapes, pallets, labels, shrink wraps, foams.

• Chemicals:

  Electrolyte materials, adhesives, cleaning agents, surface treatment chemicals.

• Small Plastic Parts:

  Caps, covers, insulators, injection-molded components.
