Business Unit General Manager

As the Business Unit General Manager at Dellner Polymer India Pvt Limited in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in leading the business unit with full P&L responsibility. Your main focus will be on driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence in alignment with the long-term corporate strategy of the company. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute a business unit strategy that aligns with the Company and Group goals, emphasizing revenue growth, profitability, and market share. - Take ownership of all operational dimensions including safety, quality, delivery, cost, environmental, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing excellence. - Champion continuous improvement by fostering a culture of excellence, emphasizing lean practices, automation, and innovation. - Build trusted relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and railway authorities, identifying and developing new business opportunities in domestic markets. - Negotiate contracts and pricing strategies while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships. - Collaborate closely with R&D teams to drive material and process innovation and stay at the forefront of industry advancements. - Develop talent, build strong leadership within your team, and uphold the company's core values of commitment, innovation, team spirit, and joy. **Qualifications Required:** - Extensive experience within manufacturing, preferably in rubber-to-metal or automotive components. - Prior P&L experience and a passion for operational performance, lean manufacturing, and maximizing team potential. - Strong experience working with off-highway equipment and/or railway sector customers. - Global work experience is a plus.
