Business Unit General Manager

As the Business Unit General Manager at Dellner Polymer India Pvt Limited, you will play a crucial role in leading the business unit with full P&L responsibility in Chennai. Your primary focus will be on driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence in alignment with the long-term corporate strategy of the company. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and executing a business unit strategy that is in line with the Company and Group goals, emphasizing revenue growth, profitability, and market share. - Taking ownership of operational dimensions such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, environmental compliance, and manufacturing excellence. - Championing continuous improvement through the promotion of lean practices, automation, and innovation. - Building relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and railway authorities to identify and develop new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction. - Collaborating closely with R&D teams to drive material and process innovation. Qualifications required for this position include: - Extensive experience within manufacturing, preferably in rubber-to-metal or automotive components. - Demonstrated P&L experience and a passion for operational performance and lean manufacturing. - Strong experience with off-highway equipment and/or railway sector customers. - Experience working globally would be an advantage.
