We are seeking an innovative and experienced Business Functional Analyst (BFA) to play a pivotal role in designing cutting-edge API platforms specifically for Corporate Banking , encompassing critical areas such as Payments, Trade Finance, and Cross Border Payments .

Your key responsibilities
As a BFA, you will be the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, shaping the future of our API-based platform. Your responsibilities will include:

Acting as the lead Business Functional Analyst for the development and enhancement of our API-driven platform.

Leveraging your deep expertise in Corporate Banking domains, with a strong focus on Payments (eg, SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, Cross Border Payments, etc) and Trade Finance , to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications.

Collaborating proactively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Product Managers, Developers, and Subject Matter Experts, to meticulously gather and refine product requirements.

Articulating clear, concise requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring traceability for robust quality assurance and testing.

Grooming and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the strategic product roadmap and overall business objectives.

Documenting comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements, which will directly inform the creation of effective test scenarios.

Actively participating in all scrum team ceremonies, championing the voice of the business and ensuring a shared understanding of product goals.

Demonstrating a strong understanding of technical aspects related to Banking domain connecting API functionalities directly to core business objectives.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for a talented individual with a passion for innovation and a proven track record in the Corporate Banking space, particularly within the Payments and Trade Finance domains.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:

7+ years of proven experience as a Business Functional Analyst, with a strong preference for experience serving Corporate Banking customers.

Deep domain expertise in Corporate Banking, specifically within the Payments landscape (eg, SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, Cross Border Payments, ISO20022 formats for Payments and Account Management) and Trade Finance.

Strong understanding of API-first designed products , proficiently using tools such as Swagger and Postman/Bruno for API documentation and testing.

Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (eg, Scrum, Kanban, Jira, ADO).
-
Exceptional analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable product plans and specifications.

Outstanding communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

bachelors degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
Nice to Have" Skills & Experience (Bonus Points For):

Experience with API integration, Authentication and Authorization requirements.

Experience in Functional verification of APIs.
