Program Manager

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

• Drive end-to-end program execution from concept to certification
• Align hardware, firmware, mechanical and platform software teams with compliance and customer requirements.
• Track program progress, risk and dependencies.
• Track program budget and timelines

Technical Oversight

• Guide hardware design: rugged IP67/IP65 enclosures, M12 connectors, wide input voltage (24110 VDC).
• Oversee firmware development: Layer 2/3 switching, redundancy protocols (RSTP, MRP, PRP/HSR), QoS, VLAN.
• Direct platform software integration: secure management interfaces (SNMPv3, HTTPS, SSH), cybersecurity features, TSN readiness.

Compliance & Standards

• Understanding of 

  EN50155 (railway electronics), EN 50121-4, EN 61131-2

  .

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as primary liaison with the customer, certification bodies, and internal leadership.
• Present technical roadmaps and compliance strategies to executive stakeholders.
• Weekly, fortnightly and monthly progress report with potential focus areas

Requirements

• 15+ years

  in embedded systems, industrial networking, or ruggedized hardware.
• Proven track record in

  Ethernet switch design for rail/industrial applications

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  EN 50155, EN 50121-4, EN 61131-2

  .
• Experience with

  PoE design, redundancy protocols, and TSN

  .
• PMP or equivalent program management certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Skills

• Hardware/Firmware/Software integration for ruggedized platforms.
• Regulatory compliance and certification management.
• Vendor benchmarking and supply chain risk mitigation.
• Advanced networking protocols (RSTP, MRP, PRP/HSR, TSN).
• Cybersecurity for industrial networking (IEC 62443 awareness).
• Documentation and workflow optimization.
• Working experience with Europe Customer is big plus
• German Language (Nice to Have)

Education

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
• M.Tech preferred
