Business Development (Payment Partnerships)

• Research, compare, and recommend suitable local and international payment gateway providers in India (e.g., Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, CCAvenue, BillDesk, Paytm, PhonePe).
• Evaluate providers based on pricing (MDR), settlement terms, UPI success rates, e-wallet coverage, and compliance with RBI regulations.
• Approach and establish strong relationships with payment gateway providers, banks, and fintech partners.
• Negotiate merchant discount rates (MDR), setup fees, settlement cycles, and service level agreements (SLAs) to optimize costs and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, data localization requirements, and security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, tokenization, UPI mandates).
• Collaborate with internal teams (finance, IT, operations, and compliance) to ensure smooth onboarding and API integration.
• Facilitate all documentation, KYC, contracts, and technical requirements between the company and payment providers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all payment gateway partners.
• Resolve transaction failures, settlement delays, chargebacks, and disputes.
• Monitor performance KPIs (success rate, downtime, settlement speed) and suggest improvements to enhance customer experience.
• Keep up to date with emerging fintech trends in India, including UPI 2.0, BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later), subscription billing, and cross-border payment solutions.
• Recommend new opportunities (e.g., UPI AutoPay, Tokenization, eNACH, digital wallets) to strengthen the company’s payment ecosystem.
