About the Role

proactive International Business Development Team Lead

end-to-end business development

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management & Planning

    • Lead and mentor a virtual team of

      2–3 business development executives

      .
    • Allocate daily/weekly targets for lead generation, outreach and follow-ups.
    • Review performance, maintain dashboards/MIS and ensure timely reporting to partners.
  • Lead Generation & Email Outreach

    • Identify and build databases of

      audit, accounting and consulting firms located outside India

      (UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia, US, etc. – as per strategy).
    • Obtain and verify

      decision-maker emails and LinkedIn profiles

      .
    • Draft and send

      professional outreach emails

      highlighting our firm’s services and value proposition.
    • Run structured follow-up campaigns till meetings are fixed or opportunities are closed.
  • Business Acquisition & Relationship Management

    • Coordinate

      introductory and detailed meetings

      between overseas firms and our partners/senior management (Zoom/Teams/Google Meet).
    • Understand client requirements and work with internal teams to

      design suitable service offerings

      .
    • Prepare, customise and send

      proposals, presentations and quotations

      .
    • Maintain a

      lead & opportunity pipeline tracker

      and ensure smooth movement from lead stage to signed engagement.
  • Innovation in Online Business Acquisition

    • Explore and implement

      new online channels

      for acquiring clients (LinkedIn, email marketing tools, portals, webinars, events, etc.).
    • Suggest and test

      content ideas, campaigns and automation tools

      to improve response and conversion rates.
  • Operational Support – Travel, Billing & Collections

    • Coordinate

      travel plans, meetings and schedules

      for partners when required (onsite visits, conferences, client meetings).
    • Liaise with internal accounts team for

      timely invoices, basic billing queries

      and sharing invoice copies with clients.
    • Support follow-ups for

      outstanding payments/collections

      in a professional and relationship-oriented manner.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education:

    • Graduate in Commerce / Business / Management (B.Com, BBA, BBM, etc.)
    • MBA / PG in Marketing or International Business preferred (not mandatory).
  • Experience & Domain:

    • 3–7 years

      of experience in

      B2B International Business Development / Inside Sales / Lead Generation

      , preferably in:
      • Audit / Accounting / CA firm
      • Consulting / KPO / Outsourcing / Shared Services
    • Prior experience dealing with

      overseas clients

      (UK/US/EU/Middle East/Australia etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Excellent

      written and spoken English

      ; strong email drafting skills are essential.
    • Strong

      online research skills

      for identifying target firms and decision-makers.
    • Hands-on experience with

      email tools, CRM, Excel/Google Sheets, LinkedIn

      etc.
    • Ability to

      lead a small team

      , set targets, review work and ensure accountability.
    • Understanding (even basic) of

      audit, accounting, tax and consulting services

      will be an added advantage.
    • High level of

      ownership, discipline and follow-through

      from lead to closure.
    • Comfortable working

      virtually/independently

      with partners based in different time zones.
