Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ernakulam, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram

Job Purpose:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving footfall to the showroom by identifying, developing, and nurturing B2C and B2B customer leads. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong networking, partnership-building, and execution skills to increase customer walk-ins, support sales growth, and enhance brand visibility in the target market.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Walk-in Growth

  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies through events, referrals, digital tie-ups, and outbound activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize local advertising, influencer outreach, and digital campaigns for targeted walk-in traffic.
  • Maintain and grow a qualified lead database using CRM tools.

Partnership Development

  • Identify and collaborate with local architects, interior designers, real estate developers, and premium lifestyle brands for referral business.
  • Drive strategic alliances with luxury real estate, modular kitchen brands, or interior dcor studios to generate co-branded experiences or lead exchanges.

Event Management

  • Plan and execute in-store and off-site events, such as design showcases, client mixers, and product launches to attract the right clientele.
  • Coordinate with the showroom team to ensure event readiness and lead capture.

Retail Marketing Support

  • Work closely with the marketing team to execute local-level marketing initiatives (print, digital, OOH).
  • Monitor and analyse campaign ROI in terms of lead quality and showroom conversions.

Customer Relationship Building

  • Act as a brand ambassador at every customer touchpoint.
  • Nurture high-value leads, follow up consistently, and hand over warm prospects to the sales consultants.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Weekly reporting of lead generation metrics, showroom footfall, and campaign performance.
  • Use data to identify successful channels and areas for improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • 58 years

    of experience in business development, lead generation, or B2C marketing.
  • Prior experience in

    luxury retail

    ,

    home interiors

    ,

    furniture

    ,

    real estate

    , or

    lifestyle brands

    preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in creating B2B2C alliances (with designers, architects, etc.) is a strong plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of local market dynamics and affluent customer behavior.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools, Excel, and basic reporting.
  • Event planning and execution experience.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and organized.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Increase in qualified showroom walk-ins
  • No. of new leads generated (weekly/monthly)
  • No. of partnerships/alliances closed
  • Event ROI – leads vs. conversions
  • CRM follow-ups and lead nurturing metrics
