Role Description (Brief)

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to lead

new business growth across EOR (Employer of Record), Global Payroll, and related business

lines including CRM and Self-Employment services.

This role is focused on driving new client acquisition, building global partnerships, and

expanding Open Dhis footprint across East Africa, the UK, and Europe. The ideal candidate

will bring a strong network, deep understanding of the global employment ecosystem, and the

ability to translate opportunities into scalable business outcomes.

This position complements the existing teams relationship management capabilities and

enables Varun to focus on long-term business strategy and growth vision.

Ideal Profile

  • 610 years of progressive experience in Business Development / B2B Sales,

preferably in EOR, Global Payroll, HR Tech, or Professional Services.

  • Proven expertise in international client acquisition and partnership building.
  • Exposure to East Africa, UK, and European markets is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of EOR operations, global workforce solutions, and cross-border compliance.
  • Experience in setting up go-to-market (GTM) strategies and channel partner programs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive measurable

outcomes.

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad (work-from-office preferred).

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute a clear business development strategy for global EOR and

Payroll services.

  • Identify new business opportunities, client segments, and target markets.
  • Build a sustainable sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, referrals, and

partnerships.

  • Engage directly with decision-makers to pitch solutions.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and client acquisition goals.

2. Partnerships & Strategic Alliances

  • Establish strategic partnerships with HR consultancies, PEOs, payroll aggregators, and

regional service providers.

  • Collaborate with external agencies or representatives to strengthen market presence in

EA, UK, and Europe.

  • Explore reseller or white-label partnerships to accelerate expansion.

3. Market Research & Growth Intelligence

  • Conduct regular competitive and market analysis to identify trends and emerging

opportunities.

  • Provide insights on pricing, regional regulations, and competitive positioning.
  • Recommend product/service enhancements based on client and market feedback.

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Ensure a seamless transition of newly onboarded clients to the account management

team.

  • Maintain strong post-acquisition relationships for upselling and cross-selling

opportunities.

  • Represent Open Dhi at global forums, industry events, and client presentations.

5. Strategic Leadership Support

  • Work closely with Varun and senior leadership to align business development activities

with overall company goals.

  • Participate in quarterly planning discussions to forecast revenue and expansion metrics.
  • Share learnings, frameworks, and best practices from past experience to strengthen the BD function.
