About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Lead to spearhead the growth of our Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) application across India. This role requires a strong blend of business acumen, strategic thinking, healthcare domain understanding, and relationship-building expertise. You will be responsible for driving sales, building partnerships, and crafting go-to-market strategies to establish our HIMS solution as a leading choice for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare chains in India.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and healthcare networks.
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
Lead client presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations with key decision-makers (CXOs, Directors, Administrators).
Strategy Building & Execution
Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy for the HIMS product in India.
Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and healthcare industry policies to shape business strategies.
Drive partnerships with channel partners, medical associations, IT service providers, and system integrators.
Create pricing models, sales playbooks, and market penetration strategies for different segments (100+ bed hospitals, multi-branch hospitals, corporate hospitals, etc.).
Customer Relationship Management
Build long-term relationships with hospital administrators, medical directors, and healthcare IT stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor, understanding customer pain points and aligning solutions accordingly.
Collaborate with product and implementation teams to ensure seamless onboarding and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and manage a small business development team.
Work closely with the marketing team to design campaigns, case studies, and thought-leadership content.
Provide feedback to product teams for continuous improvement of the HIMS application.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: MBA in Marketing / Business Strategy or equivalent. Healthcare IT exposure is a plus.
Experience: 712 years of experience in business development, preferably in healthcare IT / SaaS / HIMS / EHR domains.
Strong understanding of hospital operations, healthcare workflows, and IT adoption challenges in India.
Proven track record of sales closures, revenue generation, and strategy execution.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, build networks, and travel extensively across India.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
