Business Development Manager

Location: Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, India (On-site)

Reports To: Company Founder/Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our business growth efforts in the pharmaceutical staffing and recruitment sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, leading a team of research analysts and recruiters, and driving revenue growth aligned with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and life sciences companies.

Contact potential clients to establish rapport, arrange meetings, and understand their staffing needs.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with HR leaders, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.

Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, closing deals, and providing after-sales support.

Client Requirement Fulfillment

Collaborate with recruitment and research teams to ensure client requirements are met with quality candidate matches.

Oversee candidate submissions and ensure timely delivery aligned with client expectations.

Market Research & Opportunity Development

Conduct secondary market research (both domestic and international) to identify new business prospects and industry trends.

Research organizations and individuals online to find new opportunities and expand the client base.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to refine business development strategies.

Sales & Marketing Initiatives

Plan and oversee marketing initiatives to promote staffing services and increase brand visibility.

Enhance the value of current customers through cross-selling and up-selling while attracting new clients.

Identify and develop new markets to improve sales and revenue.

Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of research analysts and recruiters to achieve targets.

Set clear objectives, monitor team performance, and provide regular feedback and training.

Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with company goals.

Reporting & CRM Management

Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, contracts, and revenue in CRM systems.

Track, analyze, and report sales performance, pipeline status, and team achievements to senior management.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all business development activities.

Strategic Planning & Collaboration

Work closely with the founder and management to align business development efforts with the company's vision and goals.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to build brand presence.

Provide market insights and client feedback to inform service improvements and new offerings.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.

Minimum 10+ years of business development experience in staffing/recruitment, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and acquiring new clients.

Strong skills in lead generation, market research, and client relationship management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.

Proficiency with CRM systems and lead generation tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Hunter.ai).

Analytical mindset with strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
