Brickendon Consulting is an award-winning global management and technology consultancy specializing in innovative solutions and transforming complex, highly regulated environments.

Founded in 2010, Brickendon has a strong focus on financial services and the public sector, helping organizations navigate and implement significant changes.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidates will work as part of a Brickendons Sales team to sell our consulting services and solutions to clients.

Role & responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Leverage your professional network, industry contacts, and proactive lead generation to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities to meet or exceed agreed targets.
  • Research and engage potential clients, including running targeted telephone campaigns.
  • Understand the full solution sales cycle, competitor strategies, and market trends to refine sales approaches.

Account Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to existing and potential clients, ensuring regular engagement to understand their evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with management and consultants to turn client feedback and insights into innovative solutions.

Bid Management & Pre-Sales

  • Take ownership of bid and pre-sales activities.
  • Partner with senior sales and delivery teams to design and present the best-fit solutions for clients.

Commercial Management & Negotiation

  • Lead negotiations with new clients, ensuring agreements align with commercial objectives.

Preferred Candidate

Sales experience in banking, IT services, or advisory with the ability to sell to C-suite and senior decision-makers.

  • Track record of achieving or exceeding sales/business development targets.
  • Proven experience as a Recruiter (in-house or agency), preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Understanding of at least one complex banking functional area (Risk, Finance, Front Office,

Operations).

  • Established professional network within the financial services sector.
  • Strong cold-calling, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively, flexibly, and effectively across teams
