Job Title: Business Development Manager – Medical Equipment Location: Bangalore Department: Sales & Marketing Reporting To: Sales Head / Director – Business Development Experience Required: 4–9 Years in Medical Equipment/Healthcare or from other industries SalesQualification: Bachelor’s Degree (Science/Pharma preferred), MBA (Marketing) is a plus Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities with hospitals, doctors, nursing homes, and government institutions (like ESIC, , state tenders). Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, purchase managers, and administrative authorities. Participate in and manage government tender submissions, emplacements, and rate contracts. Conduct product presentations, demos, and trials for decision-makers and end-users. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through strategic planning and execution. Track competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to develop competitive strategies. Coordinate with the technical/service and supply chain team to ensure smooth post-sales support. Maintain accurate records of all sales, leads, and customer interactions through CRM tools. Attend relevant medical conferences, trade exhibitions, and networking events. Key Skills Required: Strong knowledge of medical equipment/devices Experience dealing with hospital procurement processes and government tenders Good understanding of healthcare regulatory standards and documentation Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and travel frequently Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and CRM software Preferred Background: Prior experience with companies selling medical devices, surgical instruments, diagnostics, or imaging products Experience in dealing with institutional and government clients, including hospitals, tenders, and public health departments Sales experience with healthcare products (such as consumables, disposables, hospital furniture, or lab equipment) will also be considered
