Business Development Manager (BDM) - Industrial Automation Software Product

Role Overview: As a Sales & Growth professional, your main responsibility will involve direct customer engagement to promote and close deals. You will also be tasked with identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, including pilots and full-scale rollouts. Collaborating with channel partners, EPCs, and integrators for joint go-to-market plans will be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, negotiating pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements will be essential in driving sales growth. Key Responsibilities: - Define and execute GTM strategies that position the platform as a disruptive open automation solution. - Track customer pain points and competitor moves to refine sales messaging. - Influence decision-makers across OEMs, SIs, and end users. - Engage with engineering, operations, IT, and C-level executives. - Lead discussions on digital transformation with customers and build relationships with early adopters and industry influencers. - Support partners in integrating the solution into their project specs. - Work closely with product, marketing, COEs, and support teams to ensure solution-market fit. - Share customer insights to shape the product roadmap and go-to-market execution. - Coordinate with pre-sales and technical teams for tailored solution presentations. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in direct customer engagement and deal closure. - Strong ability to identify and qualify new business opportunities. - Excellent negotiation skills for pricing, contracts, and agreements. - Knowledge of GTM strategies and positioning solutions in the market. - Effective stakeholder engagement with different levels of professionals. - Experience in cross-functional collaboration with product, marketing, and support teams.
