Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Head/Manager 3PL & Micro-Fulfillment

Overview:

NOT LOOKING FOR 3PL WAREHOUSE EXPERIENCE

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and onboard clients in D2C, e-commerce, FMCG, retail, and Q-commerce sectors.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue and maximize warehouse utilization.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue targets.
  • Build and nurture CXO-level relationships across potential client organizations.

2. Client Onboarding & Relationship Management

  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding, ensuring seamless handoff to operations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for key accounts, focusing on retention, upselling, and cross-selling.
  • Resolve client issues with urgency and professionalism.

3. RFQs, Proposals & Commercial Strategy

  • Collaborate with solutions and operations teams to build customized proposals.
  • Lead pricing discussions and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure alignment of proposals with margin and delivery expectations.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with operations, finance, and tech teams to deliver tailored fulfillment solutions.
  • Work with marketing teams on lead generation and brand positioning initiatives.

5. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Track KPIs such as revenue growth, client acquisition, occupancy rates, and proposal success.
  • Provide regular performance updates and pipeline reports to leadership.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage client data and optimize sales efforts.

  • Revenue growth & warehouse occupancy
  • Client acquisition & retention
  • Proposal win rate & RFQ response time
  • Expansion through upsell/cross-sell initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience in logistics,D2C
  • Strong exposure to D2C brands and a deep understanding of their logistics needs.
  • Proven experience with RFQs, commercial negotiations, and large deal closures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate pricing and operational feasibility.
