Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Preferred: Mechanical/Electrical/Fire & Safety Engineering).
Extensive proven experience (typically 10+ years, with several in a leadership capacity) in business development or sales within the fire safety industry, automotive industry (especially specialized vehicles), or a related engineering/industrial sector.
Strong knowledge of fire safety & fighting products (fire extinguishers, suppression systems, hydrants, alarms, sprinklers, etc.).
Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Strong negotiation and deal-making abilities. Strategic thinking and strong analytical/problem-solving skills. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel extensively to client sites, industry events, and trade shows Job Resposibility
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand market presence and achieve long-term growth objectives.
Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new customer segments (e.g., municipal fire departments, industrial facilities, airports) and geographic markets. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, procurement teams, distributors, and industry partners. Sales and Negotiation Leadership: Lead the sales process, including preparing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals, negotiating complex contracts, and closing high-value deals. Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and fire safety regulations and standards to inform strategic decisions. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and motivate the business development and sales teams, while collaborating closely with cross-functional departments (engineering, manufacturing, finance, and marketing) to ensure alignment and seamless project delivery.
