Business Development Executive

Role & responsibilities

Identify and onboard potential retailers to expand the sales network.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing retailers to ensure repeat business.
• Identify untapped markets and initiate the process to open new retailer codes in the system.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all necessary documentation for new code activation.
• Regularly track and follow up on code activation status to minimize delays.
• Collect and verify all required documents for onboarding new retailers (e.g., KYC, GST, licenses, etc.).
• Ensure the documentation complies with company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain an organized record of retailer documentation for future reference.
• Generate sales orders from retailers and ensure accurate processing in the system.
• Coordinate with the supply chain or logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products to retailers.
• Regularly update retailers about order statuses, promotions, and offers.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the territory.
• Suggest strategies to enhance market presence and increase brand visibility among retailers.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and activity reports to the reporting manager.
• Analyze sales data and provide actionable insights to improve sales performance.
• Build and nurture positive relationships with dealers, distributors, and retailers to foster loyalty.
• Act as the primary point of contact for retailers and address their concerns promptly.
• Drive sales growth by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing retailers to ensure repeat business.

Performance Metrics:

• Number of new retailer codes opened.
• Sales targets achieved.
• Timeliness and accuracy of retailer documentation.
• Retailer satisfaction and feedback scores.
