Job Description

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding the customer base for the company. Your responsibilities will include identifying and developing new business opportunities across key industries such as power, pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemicals, and manufacturing. You will be expected to generate leads through various channels including market research, networking, trade shows, and cold calling. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers will be essential, as will understanding their technical requirements and proposing customized solutions in collaboration with the internal technical team.

In addition to client engagement, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations. You will also be expected to negotiate terms and close deals in alignment with assigned revenue targets. Monitoring market trends, analyzing competitor activities, and staying updated on pricing strategies will be important aspects of your role. Coordination with internal departments such as Engineering, Projects, and Procurement will be necessary to ensure smooth execution of orders and high levels of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and possess 1 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the industrial equipment or boiler industry. A strong technical understanding of steam boilers, pressure vessels, and heating systems is highly desirable. In addition, excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools, are essential for success in this role. The position also requires a willingness to travel as needed.

Performance in this role will be measured through key indicators such as sales revenue achieved versus targets, the number of new clients acquired, lead-to-order conversion rates, customer retention and satisfaction levels, and timely reporting and CRM data management.
