Business Development Engineer

As a Business Development Engineer at SIMTEK, an authorized reseller of SOLIDWORKS products & 3DEXPERIENCE Works, your role involves aggressively developing new customers and expanding the existing customer base. You will be responsible for software sales (CAD / CAE) in Solidworks, implementing sales objectives and strategies, preparing sales quotations and related documents, as well as assisting in marketing and promotional activities. Additionally, you will participate in exhibitions and marketing activities, showcasing your good presentation skills. This role may require travel in and around the Chennai Area. Qualifications required for this position include a B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, or an MBA in Sales and Marketing. Alternatively, any graduate with relevant sales experience in the same field will be considered. You must possess good English proficiency for effective communication and writing skills. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of sales experience is a must, preferably in software selling. To excel in this role, you should be highly self-motivated, initiative-driven, and aggressive in sales with a positive attitude. Your passion to meet customers, ability to convince them, and energetic, after-sales-oriented approach will be key to success. Planning your sales schedule effectively to achieve targets is essential, and the ability to speak multiple local languages will be an added advantage.
