Job Summary: We are seeking a Business Development Engineer with a strong grounding in networking technologies who can drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, engaging clients, and proposing the right technical solutions. This is a hybrid role that blends technical aptitude with a sales-oriented mindset , ideal for someone passionate about solving customer problems while helping expand the companys market presence. Key Responsibilities: Business Development Focus (70%) Identify and develop new business opportunities in enterprise, ISP, telecom, and system integrator segments. Engage with prospective clients to understand their networking, connectivity, and infrastructure needs. Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to create tailored solutions that meet customer requirements. Present technical proposals, solution architecture, and value propositions to clients (virtually and in-person). Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle. Prepare and present RFP responses, commercial proposals, and product demos. Represent the company at events, conferences, and industry forums to generate leads and brand visibility. Gather competitive intelligence and identify emerging customer needs for product and solution evolution. Technical Support (30%) Provide technical input during pre-sales discussions, solution scoping, and PoC deployments. Explain technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders. Assist in troubleshooting basic network issues to gain customer confidence and showcase product reliability. Work with internal NOC/engineering teams to align proposed solutions with actual capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Networking, or a related field. Proven experience in a business development, solution engineering, or technical sales role. Solid understanding of networking concepts: IP addressing, routing, switching, VLAN, NAT, VPN, and wireless technologies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to build rapport and influence decisions. Experience preparing proposals, quotes, solution diagrams, and business presentations. Fluent in CRM tools, lead generation strategies, and account management best practices. Comfortable engaging C-level clients, procurement heads, and IT managers. Preferred Qualifications: CCNA/CCNP or equivalent knowledge (formal certification is a plus). Experience in the ISP, telco, private 5G, or managed service provider (MSP) domain. Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN), SD-WAN, or private LTE/5G. Exposure to public sector/government tenders and strategic partnerships.
