LOCATION: Chennai
REPORTING: Sales Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of the BFSC BD Engineer is to focus on new customer acquisition, lead generation, prospect management and maintain value-added relationships with customers in order to position BFSC as a preferred supplier. With goals of targeted revenue growth and targeted sales of strategic products within a defined geographic area, a BFSC BD Engineer should always act in the best interest of the customer, applying sound ethics and a service orientation. The BD Engineer is the primary customer interface and part of a team responsible for providing a variety of services, solutions, support, and information in a manner that builds trust, confidence, and long term business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identifying, qualifying, and securing new leads
2. Cold calling, making multiple outbound calls to potential clients
3. Understanding customer needs and offering suitable solutions
4. Help in product selection
5. Technical / Project discussions / Negotiation meetings with customer
6. Co-ordination with Commercial & Admin to clarify customer queries
7. Quote Follow up
8. Alignment with Company - VIP Reports ( VAEs ), Commercialized products sales
9. Energy Audits
10. Customer Trainings
11. Customer Presentations
12. Continuous learning & Personal Development
REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum qualification is a Bachelor degree in Engineering.
2. A degree in Mechanical Engineering would be preferable. Other disciplines of engineering are also acceptable, excluding Computer Science.
3. Technical ability should be good as the job involves selection of products based on customer specifications.
4. Some prior experience (1 to 3 years) as Business Development Engineer would be preferred. External sales engineers (field sales) with a technical aptitude for this role may also apply.
5. Candidates should live nearby the office (max 45 minutes time to reach work). If not located nearby, they should be ready to move so commuting time to the office is not more than 45 minutes.
6. Candidates should be willing to travel through out Tamil Nadu. Likely 7-10 days of outstation visits per month.
7. Superior verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of local language is preferred.
CTC would be best in class and will not be a constraint for a deserving candidate with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. CTC will consist of a fixed base salary and few variable components that are linked to performance. In addition to this, benefits like medical insurance for family, PF, gratuity is available for employees who complete their training program successfully.
