Job Summary:

The Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to

our health insurance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data

management, advanced proficiency in Excel and other data visualization tools, and a solid

understanding of the health insurance domain. This role is crucial for providing accurate,

timely, and actionable insights to management, helping to drive performance, optimize

processes, and ensure data integrity.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Data Management & Reporting:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the company's Management Information Systems.
  • Collect, clean, and consolidate data from various sources, including claims, underwriting,

sales, and customer service departments.

  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports, dashboards, and presentations

for management.

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all data and reports.
  • Automate reporting processes using advanced Excel features (VBA, Power Query), SQL, or

other relevant tools to improve efficiency.

• Data Analysis & Insights:

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in key performance indicators

(KPIs).

  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic planning and decision-making on topics

such as claims processing efficiency, customer retention, and policy sales.

  • Create customized reports and analyses to address specific business questions and support

various departments.

  • Monitor and analyze key health insurance metrics

• System & Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and provide

tailored solutions.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the MIS framework and implement

solutions to enhance productivity and data quality.

  • Assist in the implementation and testing of new software or systems related to data

management

• Compliance & Security:

  • Ensure all data handling and reporting comply with internal policies and industry

regulations.

  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive health and financial data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics,

Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience of 1+ years as an MIS Executive, Data Analyst, or a similar

role, preferably within the health insurance or financial services industry.

• Technical Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VBA, advanced formulas, Power

Query).

  • Strong knowledge of database management systems and SQL for data extraction and

manipulation.

  • Familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Analytical & Communication Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and

present complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced

environment.

• Domain Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of health insurance terminology, processes, and products.

• Report Accuracy & Timeliness: Rate of data errors and adherence to reporting deadlines.

• Process Efficiency: Reduction in manual data entry and reporting time through automation.
