Job Description

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing processes, and recommending data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and performance. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, documented, and implemented effectively to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements through meetings, workshops, and research.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for implementation.
  • Evaluate current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Product, Finance, Operations, etc.) to deliver effective solutions.
  • Develop process models, workflows, and use cases to communicate requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and identify trends or performance issues.
  • Assist in project planning, scope definition, and prioritization of requirements.
  • Support testing and validation of solutions to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and technologies relevant to business analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Economics, or related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SWOT, GAP analysis, process mapping).
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Knowledge of SQL or data querying is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum or other project management methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA.
  • Experience in [industry – e.g., banking, IT services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, etc.].
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or business intelligence systems.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
