Firmwide data office Managing the accuracy timeliness of our data enables our businesses, helps us to make informed decisions and protects us from risk. Firmwide data office (FDO) is a group within the Transformation Division that focuses on data as a key priority of Brokerages overall Strategy. FDO sets standards and develop tooling for ownership, distribution and consumption of data and data accessibility. The frameworks developed by the team address data architecture and data quality issues for new and existing initiatives at the firm by collaborating heavily with various business units and technology functions in the firm. Position Description Data is at the forefront of most business functions as enterprises look to streamline their business processes to cut cost and leverage capabilities such as advanced analytics, big data, AI and machine learning to create new insights. Business decisions will require availability of accurate, timely and consistent data. In a large enterprise like Brokerage, with thousands of systems and tens of thousands of databases, it is critical to provide solutions that help users find data, understand its meaning, and easily access data via APIs, frameworks, and tools in a secure, compliant manner, whether the data is on premise or on the cloud. To address these challenges, the Tooling team within the FDO works on providing tools to document, Client, search, and visualize how data is used in the firm. The team also provides APIs and integrations with other technologies in the firm to capture and Client this information to support and promote automation. The team builds in house tools as well as works with vendor tools in this space to address these problems. FDO is looking for an experienced Data Governance resource who is passionate about data and solving complex data Governance problems and will help extend our strategic firm wide suite of applications. `The candidate will be involved in working with technology and business teams to understand their data governance needs and help them get onboarded to Firmwide Data Catalog. Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player with developer acumen towards solving engineering problems. Key responsibilities of this role are - Participation in Requirement Gathering and Design sessions with adopting teams on Data Governance Journey. Manage deliverables for stakeholder while driving product roadmap Knowledge sharing with our global team. Partnering with vendors/stakeholders to ensure high quality delivery Manage Conceptual model of Firmwide Data Cataloguing (FDC) tool Participate and run Business Design forums to Govern design decisions Work closely with the Technology Team to create and implement, Models and framework for Data Management S upport user experience, accessibility, and usability requirements in the design of digital solutions. This role offers the opportunity to - Participate in transforming the firm towards a Data Driven culture. Work on new technologies in areas such as knowledge graph, cloud governance etc. and access experts in the wide range of technologies at Brokerage. Develop domain expertise in the Financial Services Industry via stakeholder interactions, industry forums and events. Partner with PO, Program BAs and stakeholders to define product vision, capabilities and features QUALIFICATIONS Skills Required: Must Have More than 5 years of Financial Services industry experience with a good understanding of Capital Markets/ Banking/ Finance domain. A good understanding of Data Governance Management. Excellent Communication skills. Ability to create detailed user stories, working with users and developers to refine and groom stories. Experience of working as part of a global team with senior Stakeholder Management. Support the creation of data models to illustrate how data is represented within a business system An understanding of regulatory standards like Client, GDPR etc. Skills Desired: Good to have A know how of Ontologies, Graph Databases. Certifications relevant to Governance, Modelling, Architecture Understanding of Data Governance - Concepts, Policies and Principles. Experience in any Data Governance Tool like Collibra etc. Know how on Agile software development practices, TDD, Continuous Integration.
