Burner
Product Engineer
to join us in delivering high-quality burner solutions for power plants, pulp mills, and waste-to-energy facilities. Valmet has a long tradition of excellence in combustion systems, and we’re looking for someone who can help us take it even further.As the Product Engineer you are responsible for Burners’ products and process design in projects, working together with our own organization, customers, suppliers and other authorities.The position is temporary and hybrid, with a preferred location in Tampere (Finland), Gothenburg (Sweden) or Chennai (India).
Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of burner products and processes in customer projects. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and authorities to ensure successful project execution.
Your Main Tasks Will Include
- Selecting and dimensioning burner products and processes.
- Creating technical documentation such as specifications, data sheets, PI-charts, and component lists.
- Coordinating burner team activities across multiple projects.
- Preparing user manuals and delivering customer training.
You will manage several projects simultaneously, from sales phase to handover. Depending on your background and interests, the role can be tailored to include on-site installation, commissioning, or product development activities.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Energy, Combustion, or Process Technology.
- Practical experience with industrial burners and boilers is highly valued.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Good IT skills, especially in MS Office.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
