JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Highly Technical & Industry Standard)

1. Bridge Construction Supervision & Execution

• Execute and supervise construction of PSC girders, RCC girders, Box girders, Steel plate girders, Composite girders.
• Oversee foundation works such as piling, well foundation, open foundation, caissons.
• Monitor pile driving, bored pile construction, pile integrity tests, and ensure compliance with IS/IRC standards.
• Supervise pier cap, pier shaft, abutments, retaining walls, and wing wall construction.
• Handle shuttering, staging, formwork systems, scaffolding & centering operations.

2. Girder Casting, Launching & Pre-Stressing

• Manage entire girder casting cycle including:
• Reinforcement checking
• Duct placement
• Strand threading
• Pre-stressing operations
• Elongation calculations
• Grouting process
• Coordinate I-girder, Box girder, U-girder fabrication.
• Supervise DM launcher / Launching Girder operations for girder launching.
• Ensure safety during heavy lifting & launching activities.

3. Quality Assurance & Control

• Prepare and implement QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) for bridge works.
• Conduct and monitor tests:
• Cube tests
• Slump tests
• Rebound hammer
• Ultrasonic pulse velocity
• Pile load tests
• Ensure compliance with IRC, MoRTH, IS codes for bridge construction.
• Maintain WIR (Work Inspection Requests), MIR, QC reports.

4. Structural Steel Works

• Oversee fabrication and erection of structural elements like:
• Plate girders
• Trusses
• Bearings (elastomeric / pot / spherical)
• Expansion joints
• Ensure alignment, leveling, torqueing of bolts, weld inspection & welding NDT coordination.

5. Coordination & Project Management

• Coordinate with Design Consultants, PMC teams, and Clients for approvals and clarifications.
• Prepare Method Statements, Lift Plans, Risk Assessments, and BAR bending schedules.
• Monitor progress using DPR, WPR, and master schedules.
• Manage subcontractors for bridge/structural works.

6. Safety Compliance

• Implement bridge-specific safety standards, including:
• Height work safety
• Lifting operations
• Working over water
• Crane and launching girder safety
• Ensure full compliance with OHSAS/ISO safety protocols.

7. Surveying & Leveling

• Proficient with Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS.
• Bridge alignment checks:
• Pier-to-pier alignment
• Bearing level checks
• Camber setting
• Deck slab survey and finishing levels.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare:
• DPR (Daily Progress Report)
• RFI (Request for Inspection)
• Site Checklist
• Client Billing support
• As-built drawings
• Concrete pour cards

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in bridge construction
• Experience in PSC girder bridges, steel bridges, box culverts, flyovers, and ROB/RUB structures
• Knowledge of IRC Codes, MoRTH Specifications, IS Codes
• Strong understanding of:
• Pre-stressing
• Launching girder operations
• Piling & foundation systems
• Shuttering & staging design
• Structural steel erection
• Experience working in National Highway Projects / Railway Projects / Metro viaducts
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel
• Experience in coordinating with PMC, Consultants, and Clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
